If natural regenerati n will n t result in adequate <br />vegetation cover, areas in which clear cutting is conducted shall be <br />replanted t prevent er si n and t maintain the aesthetic quality f the <br />area; and where feasible, replanting shall be performed in the same <br />spring or the following spring. <br />3. The selective cutting f trees greater than 1" in diameter may be permitted by <br />local units of government when the cutting is appropriately spaced and staged <br />s that a c ntinu us natural c v r is maintain d. <br />b.
