Clear cutting, except f r any auth rizod public services such as r ads and utilities, shall n t be permitted. 2. Selective cutting f trees in excess f f ur inches in diameter at breast heights shall be permitted pr viding cutting is spaced in several cutting perati ns and a continuous cover is maintained. 3. The cutting provisions of paragraphs 1 and / above shall not be deemed to prevent: (a) The rem val f diseased r insect infested trees. r f r tten r damaged trees that present safety hazards. (b) Pruning understory vegetation. shrubs' plants. brushes, grasses, or from harvesting crops, or cutting suppressed trees or trees less than four inches in diameter at breast height. c. Clear Cutting. Clear cutting anywhere within the Scenic River Land Use District of the Rum River is subject to the following standards and criteria: 1. Clear cutting shall not be used as a cutting method where soil, slope, or other watershed c nditi ns aro determined by the Z ning Auth rity t bo fragil and subject to severe erosion and/or sedimentation. 2.
