Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #04-02-061 <br /> <br />RESOLUTON RECEIVING AWARDING CONTRACT AND DESIGNATING SITE <br />CLEANUP FUND FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CHIES AND MORRELL <br />PROPERTIES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City acquired the Chies and Morrell properties (PIN's 34-32~25-11- <br />0022 and 34-32-25-11-0021) in 2003 for the purpose of redevelopment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to proceed with the rehabilitation of these <br />properties by commencing the steps necessary for demolition and blight removal on February 10, <br />2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, bid quotations were obtained for the razing of the building and clearing the <br />properties of debris as follows; and <br /> <br />Dryden Excavating <br />Sauter & Sons <br />Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. <br /> <br />$23,995 <br />$24,2OO <br />$28,540 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, hazardous materials are known to exist on the site, which will require <br />proper disposal. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Administrator is hereby directed to enter into a contract with Dryden Excavating in <br /> the amount of $23,995 for demolition and site cleaning. <br /> <br />2) An amount of $3000 be authorized to address hazardous waste elements of the property <br /> rehabilitation. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Cook, and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-02-061 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
