Desired Outcome: Review and update current Future Land Use Map. NOTE: the City did hold an initial forum <br />in 2014 and as able to gather initial feedback. The City will utilize a variety of forums to seek feedback on this <br />map over the next 12-24 months. <br />What changes, if any, should the City make to its future land use map? <br />What do you want in your back yard? <br />The following smaller geographic areas need to be addressed as part of the overall Land Use Plan: <br />• Mississippi River Corridor Critical Area (MRCCA) <br />• Closed Landfill Land Use Plan <br />• South of Highway 10 <br />• Highway 10 Access Planning Study Impacted Parcels <br />Review of End Product: <br />• Economic Development Authority <br />• Environmental Policy Board <br />• Parks and Recreation Commission <br />• Planning Commission <br />• City Council <br />NOTE: Element #3 should be completed before Elements #4 through #84. <br />Elements #4 through #8 can run concurrently if desired, with specific working groups with expertise and <br />desire in specific topical categories. <br />Element #4: TRANSPORTATION PLAN [Required Element] <br />Desired Outcome: Review and Amend/Update the Transportation Chapter of the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />What transportation infrastructure is necessary for Ramsey? <br />At minimum, the following factors need to be acknowledged in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan <br />Update: <br />1. Armstrong Boulevard Interchange Design <br />2. US Highway 10 Access Planning Study <br />Review of End Product: <br />1. Economic Development Authority <br />2. Planning Commission <br />3. Public Works Committee <br />4. City Council <br />The City will consider inviting a representative from the Metropolitan Council Transportation <br />Services Division and MnDOT to review the end product. As this is identified as one of the two (2) <br />key regional policy issues for the community, the City will also invite our Metropolitan Council <br />Member and Sector Representative for this element. <br />
