ORDINANCE #08 - <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAP 1'ER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />REGULATIONS CHAP 11R OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.15 (TOWERS) OF CITY CODE <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the <br />City of Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2 AMENDMENTS <br />Section 9.15 (Towers) shall be amended to read as follows: <br />9.15 Towers <br />9.15.01 Definitions. The following words and terms when used in this Chapter <br />shall have the following meanings unless the context clearly states otherwise: <br />Antenna - Any structure or device used for the purpose of collecting or <br />transmitting electromagnetic waves, including but not limited to directional antennas, <br />such as panels, microwave dishes, and satellite dishes, and omni -directional antennas, <br />such as whip antennas. <br />Commercial Wireless Telecommunication Services — Licensed <br />commercial wireless telecommunication services including cellular, personal <br />communication services (PCS), specialized mobilized radio (SMR), enhanced specialized <br />mobilized radio (ESMR), paging, and similar services that are marketed to the general <br />public. <br />Tower Any ground or roof mounted pole, spire,structure, or <br />combination thereof, including supporting lines, cables, wires, braces, and masts, <br />intended primarily for the purpose of mounting an antenna, meteorological device, or <br />similar apparatus above grade. <br />Communication Tower, Guyed — A tower that is supported, in whole or <br />in part by wires and ground anchors. <br />36 <br />
