Motion failed. Voting Yes: None. Voting No: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Look, Olson, <br />Dehen, Elvig, Jeffrey, and Strommen. <br />Case #2: Public Hearing: Application for Off -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License: Case <br />of 10 Spot Liquor <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:46 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br />Public Hearing <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:46 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Police Chief Way stated that Melissa and Dennis Fitzgerald have properly applied for this license <br />and noted that this location is the former Ramsey Wine & Spirits location, which has been closed <br />for quite a while. He stated that the case is for 10 Spot Liquor, but the applicants have requested <br />the name be changed to Fitz Liquors. He stated that everything appears to be in order and staff is <br />recommending approval contingent upon receipt of the assumed name certification from the <br />State of Minnesota. <br />Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Elvig, Dehen, Look, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:48 p.m. <br />Council Business <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:48 p.m. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Look, to approve. an off -sale <br />intoxicating liquor license for Melissa B. Fitzgerald and Dennis J. Fitzgerald of DJ Investments, <br />d/b/a as Fitz Liquors, contingent upon receipt of assumed name certification from the State of <br />Minnesota. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Look, Dehen, Elvig, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br />City Council / July 22, 2008 <br />Page 8 of 23 <br />
