He has a very thorough knowledge <br />of this type of an approach to community development. <br /> <br />I personally think that the tax increment financing is one of the <br />finest ways to approach community development. This is strictly a <br />community approach whereby you develop your own plans and you sell <br />to your community. I can add that for many communities it has been <br />a lifesaver, as they never probably would have gotten State and <br />Federal funds to develop their communities, however, through tax <br />increment financing they were able to develop their own communities. <br /> <br />Mr. Auger is probably the best informed person in the State on tax <br />increment financing. <br /> <br />Commission ActiOn: No action is required unless you deem otherwise. <br /> <br /> <br />
