I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE PURCHASE OF GARAGE DOOR <br />OPENERS AT THL PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to call for price quotes for the purchase of <br />garage door openers at the Public Works Garage for use by the Ramsey City <br />Street Department, the following were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Progressive Handling, Inc. <br /> (air power for three doors) <br /> <br />$1,515.00 <br /> <br />Industrial Door Company, Inc. <br /> (electrical for Three doors) <br /> <br />$1,335.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Industrial Door Company, Inc. bid <br />in the amount of $1,335.00 had the best price quote. However, it appears <br />that additional electrical cost would be incurred in order to install the <br />electrical openers over the air powered openers, in that an electrical <br />contractor would have to be hired to move an entire row of fluorescent <br />fixtures. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby accepts <br />the price quote f-rom Progressz~ve Handling, Inc. in the amount of $1,515.00. <br /> <br /> 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey qualified the <br />above action taken by them due to the fact of the additional electrical <br />cost involved in the moving of the fluorescent fixtures to install the <br />electrical garage door openers. <br /> <br /> <br />
