If the dosing device is a siphon, a maintenance inspection <br />shall be made every six (6) months and a report shall be filed with the <br />administrator. The siphon shall be maintained in proper operating con- <br />dition. <br /> <br /> 5. If the dosing device is a pump, it shall be cast iron or <br />bronze fitted and with stainless steel screws or constructed of other <br />sound, durable and corrosion-resistant materials. <br /> <br /> 6. W~ere the soil treatment area is at a higher elevation <br />than the pump, sufficient dynamic head shall be provided for both the <br />elevation difference and friction loss. <br /> <br /> 7. Where the dosing device is a pump, an alarm device shall <br />be instal led to warn of pump failure. For dwellings, there should be <br />reserve storage volume equal to one day's sewage flow based on the <br />amounts specified for number of bedrooms in Chapter 150.014C(3). For <br />other establishments, reserve capacity should be based on the nature <br />of the facility, but jn~,no case shall it be less than twenty-five <br />percent (25%) of the dai. ly sewage flow. <br /> <br />150.0141: FINAL TREATI~7I' AND DISPOSAL ST/~NDARD SYSTEM <br /> <br />Final treatment and disposal of all sewage tank effluent shall be by <br />means of soil treatment and disposal. <br /> <br />Subd. 1 SIZING <br /> <br /> 1. The required soil treatment area shall be determined by <br />number of bedrooms for dwellings and definition of "water usage" for <br />other establishments. <br /> <br /> 2. The minimum soil treatment area required for any dwelling <br />shall provide for at least two (2) bedrooms. <br /> <br /> 3. The minimum soil treatment area required for multiple <br />residential units shall consist of the sum of the areas required for <br />each individual unit. <br /> <br /> 4.
