Regs. NR 82-84). As discussed at the October 5 and, later, the <br />November 8, 1983 meetings which included yourself as well as Judy Boudrea6 <br />and John Stine of the DNR Metro Region Naters office, local land use controls <br />for t_he management of shoreland areas within Ramsey must comply with the <br />above standards and criteria as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter <br />105.485, Subdivision 6. <br /> <br />Based on our review, Ramsey's existing ordinances and controls do not sub- <br />stantially comply with Minn. Regs. NR 82-84 in the following areas: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Definition of a shoreland area within the City and <br />appropriate terms for shoreland regulation. <br /> <br />Minimum lot sizes, widths, structure setbacks, and <br />impervious surface limitations for newly created <br />and existing lots of record within shoreland areas. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Standards for the design of Planned Unit Developments <br />(including all multiple family residential developments) <br />within shoreland areas. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Procedural standards for administration of shoreland <br />controls (issuance of permits, variances, enforcement, <br />etc.). <br /> <br />5) Provisions for the elimination of non-conforming <br /> sewage systems in shoreland areas. <br /> <br />?he categories listed above s'.'r~.ariza the t!.'pes of controls that the City of <br />Ramsey must adopt within one (!) year cf receipt of this letter pursuant to <br />Hinnesota Statutes ~ !05.495, SuSd'ivision 6. <br /> <br />lY <br /> <br /> <br />
