I <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />i <br />! <br />! <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> i <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing was held by the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission on <br />Tuesday, November 29, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Flintwood Hills Second Addition Planned <br />Unity Development. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Dr. Duane Kennen <br />Mr. Terry Hendricksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also P~esent: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: Ms. Kathy Schneider <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Dick Carson - Representing NDH, developers of Flintwood II proposed PUD. <br />Mr. Carson introduced Rick Foster, 'surveyor and engineer for John Oliver and <br />Associates. Mr. Carson stated that the PUD is 49.9 acres in size and <br />bordered by Hwy. #47 and Industry Blvd. A total of 345 units is proposed. <br />They are proposing to develop Flintwood II in two phases and Phase I will <br />commence as soon as sewer and water are available to the site. There will <br />be an MSA road through the project. NDH has been requested by City Council <br />to restrict the number of driveways coming onto this MSA road and therefore, <br />we are proposing 8-unit buildings on this road. The balance of Phase I will <br />be used for quads and single units. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that Council will be conducting a public hearing regarding <br />this PUD in January, 1984. <br /> <br />Stan Data - Stated that he is a resident of Flintwood I which borders the <br />proposed PUD and that he is speaking for himself and several neighbors who <br />would be affected by this development. Mr. Data then made the following <br />comments: <br /> <br />I. Plan is unacceptable to Flintwood I residents bordering the Flintwood <br /> II developiaent. <br /> <br />A. Reduction in property value in Flintwood I. <br /> <br />t.
