I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />,I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A Personnel Committee meeting was convened at 9:25 P.M. on Novembem 15, <br />1983 after the adjournment of a Special Council meeting at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Councilperson A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilperson Gary Reimann <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Chief of Police Michael Auspos <br />Building Official Clayton Berg <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 9:25 P.M. <br /> <br />CASE #1: POLICE WAGE NEGOTIATION; <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle reviewed with the Personnel Committee what <br />the Police Union was requesting in their 1984 wage package. He further <br />stated that they would be meeting with the Police Union to just discuss <br />their requested package. <br /> <br />CASE ~2: ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE REGARDING SEXUAL HARP~SSMENT: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle brought up to the Council Personnel Committee <br />that the City did not have an ordinance regarding City employees but <br />should have one even though it is not a problem today. <br /> <br />The Council Personnel Committee concurred that the City should have an <br />ordinance regarding this issue. Consequently, they recommended approval <br />and directed it be submitted to the Council requesting that the City <br />Attorndy be authorized to draft a proposed ordinance on sexual harrassment. <br /> <br />CASE #3: HEALTH INSURANCE (INFORMATIONAL) <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle informed the Personnel Committee what the <br />health insurance rates would be in ~984. He also provided them with <br />the following other documents: <br /> <br />a) Comparison chart - The comparison chart shows what each of <br />the HMO's are offering. <br /> <br />b) Major changes in Health insurance program - The City Admini- <br />strator presented them with a list of major changes to the health <br />insurance program. Further he informed them that Blue Cross/ <br />Blue Shield of Minnesota will not be available effective January 1, <br />1984 for City employees. <br /> <br />PC/November 15, 1983 <br /> Page i <br /> <br /> <br />
