AI)OPflON OF ~E (~I~'S 1984 ANNUAL Oi~TIONAL <br />BODGI~T ): <br /> <br />Council will be taking the following action at this meeting: <br /> <br /> a) "Budget Hearing" on the Use of Revenue Sharing Funds in the 1984 <br />City Budget - On August 23, 1983, Council conducted a public hearing on <br />proposed uses and no proposals were received from the public. Council, <br />at their meeting of September 13, 1983, recommended the proposed uses <br />contained in enclosure (D2-1). <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to inform the public at the public <br />hearing of your proposed uses for Revenue Sharing funds which are those <br />uses contained in the above enclosure. <br /> <br /> · / b) Adoption of the City's 1984 Annual Operational Budget - Council <br />will have to adopt a resolution approving 1983 tax levy collectable in <br />1984. This has to be accomplished by October 10, 1983 in accordance with <br />State laws, as we did not request an extension of time this year. <br /> <br />You will also have to adopt' a resolution adopting the total budget for <br />1984, but this does not have to be accomplished at this meeting. However, <br />the only reason we would recommend holding this resolution up would merely <br />be to adjust police wage settlements when they are resolved. This resolution <br />can be enacted anytime between now and the first of the year (1984). <br /> <br />Council ~ction: Your action will be to approve of the City Budget in total <br />dollar amount (revenue and expenditures). Enclosure (D2-!) contains the <br />proposed resolution approving the 1983 tax levy collectable in 1984. This <br />resolution does not contain any dollar amounts, as this will have to be <br />set at the meeting. Also, this enclosure contains a proposed resolution <br />adopting the total budget for 1984. The following proposed motions are <br />hereby submitted for your consideration: <br /> <br />Motion Adopting Tax Levy: '~'-i~'~ <br />Motion by ()~.
