H. preparation Of Cha~ter 5, Section 5.08: <br /> <br />~ne Commission agreed to use Mounds View Chapter 5, Section 5.08 as a core <br />model for this section. <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman noted that Ham Lake differs from Mounds View significantly, <br />and stated that if the Commission is looking to control the way the public's <br />money is spent, that control must be obtained before it becomes a part of <br />the City budget and that the Co~nission must be sure that what they write <br />isn't prempted by State law. <br /> <br />Commission consensus is that Chairman Heitman contact the office of the <br />Attorney General regarding the State's definition of 'ordinance' and that <br />this issu~ be placed on the Commission punchlist. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Titterud and seconded by Commissioner Sieber to recess <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: (~airman Heitman, Commissioners Data, Titterud, <br />Si,her, Buchanan, Bauerkemper, Lichter and Gamec. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioner Greenberg. <br /> <br />The Charter Commission recessed at 9:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman called the meeting back to order at 9:32 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Preparation Of Cha~ter 6: <br /> <br />The Commission agreed to use Mounds View Chapter 6 as a core model for this <br />section with the following change: <br /> <br />Section 6.04 will become Subdivision 22 of Section 6.03 and <br />Section 6.04 will be changed to read the same as Ham Lake's <br />Section 6.03. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed that copies of Chapter 6, as amended and adopted, <br />will be forwarded to City Staff for their review and input and further <br />~hat this input be provided to Charter Co~nission by september 8, 1983. <br /> <br />J.
