! <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />"VISUAL RU~AY" means a runway intended solely for the operation of aircraft using <br />visual approach procedures, with no straight-in instrument approach procedure and <br />no instrument designation indicated on an approved planning document. <br /> <br />'tWATER SURFACES" for the purpose of this Ordinance shall have the same meaning as <br />land for the establishment of protected zones. <br /> <br /> SECTION IV: AIRSPACE OBSTRUCTION ZONING <br /> <br />A. AIRSPACE ZONES: In order to carry out the purpose of this Ordinance, ss set <br /> forth above, the following airspace zones are hereby established: Primary <br /> Zone, Horizontal Zone, Conical Zone, Approach Zone, Precision Instrument <br /> Approach Zone, and Transitional Zone and whose locations and dimensions are <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. PRIMARY ZONE: Ail that land which lies diregtly under an imaginary <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />iI <br /> <br />primary surface longitudinally centered on a runway and: <br />a. extending 200 feet beyond each end of (Designate <br /> <br /> all runways Raving a specially prepared hard surface or planned <br /> hard surface.) <br /> <br />b. coinciding with each end of ~(Designate other <br /> <br /> runways.) <br /> <br />The elevation of any point on the primary surface is the same as the <br />elevation of the nearest point on the runway centerline. The width of <br /> <br />the primary surface is: <br />c. 1000 feet for <br /> <br /> (Designate existing or <br />planning precision instrument runways and non-precision instrument <br />runways having visibility minimums as low as three-fourths of a <br />statute mile.) <br /> <br />500 feet for (Designate all other <br /> <br />existing or planned non-precision instrument runways or visual <br />runways other than utility.) <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br /> <br />
