On Proposed ~nterim Economic Policies - <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that what the Metro Council is proposing would be <br />a tremendous assistance and financial saving to the City of Ramsey. <br />A public hearing by the Metro Council is scheduled for November 16, <br />1983 in Metropolitan Council Chambers. <br /> <br />MAYOR~COUNCI L INPUT <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner stated that she has been approached by a group <br />of concerned citizens that would like to work with the City of Ramsey to <br />get children in the area fingerprinted. In this way the parents could <br />have the fingerprints on file in the event they were needed for identification <br />purposes. City participation would be in the way of the Police Department <br />teaching the volunteers how to take fingerprints and having an officer <br />present when the prints are being taken. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />authorizing the Ramsey Police Department to assist in the efforts being <br />made to create fingerprint identification of children in the area. <br /> <br />Further Di:~cussion: Councilmember Reimann suggested a cost figure limit <br />be put on this authorization. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
