(Please refer <br />to resolution file for Resolution #83-167). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Council members Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Case #2: .Request For Approval Of PreliminarS And Final Pla.t; Case Of RamseS <br /> 67 Industrial Park Second Addition: <br /> <br />Mr. Marv Eggum was present and stated that the sole purpose for obtaining this <br />plat is that the owners have entered into a construction agreement with the <br />S.J. Groves Company and S.J. Groves is interested in purchasing 11 acres for <br />their own use. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve both the preliminary and final plats of Ramsey 67 Industrial Park <br />Second Addition contingent upon the applicant's compliance with items as <br />outlined by City Staff. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Minnesota Waste Management BR~rd Re~ardin~ What Policies And Pro~rams <br />Minnesota Should Have And Preliminary Draft RePort On Mi~i~'ation And <br />Compensation: <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter ~nquired if any of the Councilmembers had any input <br />for her at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that any company coming into a city involving hazardous <br />waste should have a plan to cover the cost of problems created by their <br />business, that the City or the State should not be held responsible. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that if Ramsey is to be designated as a hazardous <br />waste site, a policy regarding safety should be adopted and should include <br />some definite, stiff specifications. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter inquired as to Council's feelings regarding how involved <br />City Staff and Council should be with the Environmental Impact Statement <br />that is to be prepared by the company wishing to locate their business on <br />Ramsey's site. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City should be reimbursed for any costs of <br />involvement and also feels that the EIS should be prepared by an objective <br />outside agent.
