Section 5.03. Determination of Sufficiency. The committee shall file the <br /> <br /> in the office of the clerk-administrator. The <br />completed <br /> petition <br /> required <br /> number <br /> <br />of signitures for initiative and referendum shall be at least ten precent of the <br />total number of registered voters at the time of the last city wide election. The <br /> <br />required number of signitures for recall shall be at least twenty percent of the <br />total number of registered voters at the time of the last city wide election. <br /> <br />Immediately upon receipt petition, the clerk-administrator shall examine the <br /> of <br /> the <br /> <br />petition as to its sufficency and report to the council in ten days. Upon receiving <br />the report, the council shall determine by resolution the sufficiency of the <br /> <br />petition. <br /> <br /> Section 5.04. Disposition of Insufficient or Irregular Petition. If the council <br />determines that the petition is insufficient or irregular, as defined in sections <br /> <br />5.03. and 5.02. respectively, the clerk-administrator shall deliver a of the <br /> copy <br /> <br />petition, together with a written statement of its defects, to the sponsoring <br />committee.
