It is further d/rected that this ordinance be published <br />in summary form in the official newspaper, the Anoka County Union. (Please <br />refer to ordinance file for Ordinance %83- ). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmemt~rs Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that she would like to m_~_ke a statement for the <br />record because she has just voted in favor of the amended ordinances and at a <br />previous meeting of Council she w~nt on record as not being in favor of amending <br />the ordinances. Councilmember Schlueter stated that contrary to what some <br />people believe, she is not against development in P~m~ey and she is not against <br />all the years of planning for .develoPment in Ramsey. Councilmember Schlueter <br />stated that she has met with citizens, developers and bankers and has taken <br />a lot of time to be able to understand the situation a~d she has been criticized <br />for that, but that this taken time has been profitable for her and her working <br />situation in Ramsey. She stated that each step of bring sewer and water into a <br />city has to be treated individually and after much study she feels the ordinances <br />just adopted by Council are beneficial to those already in the City, those <br />into the City and those developing in the City. If these ordinances are used <br />by O~uncil, as written, they will be ordinances that can be abided by. <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that she previously took a stand to vote for the <br />ordinances as originally adopted, that now she has changed her mind and she is <br />in favor of the amended ordinances and that this was not a fly-by-night decisicm. <br /> <br />Mayor Gam~c thanked the Ramsey Coalition, City Staff and Council for all efforts <br />put forth on this issue and commented that no issue in Ramsey has ever received <br />as much input. Mayor Gamec stated that all those efforts turned out one of the <br />best ordinances there is and it will not financially hurt the City or anyone <br />else and it is an ordinance that the City can work with. <br /> <br />Case %5: Conditional Use Permit Request To O~erate A Beauty Sho~; Case Of Mrs. <br /> David Prahl: <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. David Prahl were present. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember ~imann to <br />approve the proposed findings of fact for a conditional use permit to operate <br />a beauty shop at 6453 171st I~ne NW for Mrs. David Prahl. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, P~imann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded 'by Councilmember P~imann to <br />approve the conditional use permit agreement for Mrs. David Prahl's beauty <br />shop at her residence located at 6453 171st Lane NW. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner.
