I I I I I i I I I I I I i I I I CHARTER COMMISSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA A regular meeting of the Ramsey Charter Commission was held on Thursday, September 8, 1983 at the Ramsey M~nicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mr. Gary Heitman, Chairman Mr. Dick Sieber Mr. Stan Data Ms. Brenda Bauerkemper Mr. Curt Titterud Mr. Tom Gamec Members Absent: Mr. Roger Buchanan Mr. Tom Greenberg Mr. John Lichter CALL TO ORDER Chairman Heitman called the meeting to order at 7:41 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner. Sieber moved to approve the Charter Commission minutes dated August 25, 1983, with the following corrections: 1. Page 1 - Item A.2. - Change 'August' to 'July'. Page 2 - Item D.1. - Paragraph I - Change to read as follows: 'Commissioner Lichter stated that he and Commissioner Bauerkemper attended Council's meeting of July 26, 1983 and that is the meeting in which Commissioner Bauerkemper suggested Council lower the Charter Commission budget to $5000.00. 3. Page 5 - Item E - Add the following to the end of the first sentence: 'and to change the reference to 30 days to ~mmediately'. Page 4 - Item C - Change the first paragraph to read as follows: 'Chairman Heitman did some research and was informed by Attorney Dom that resolutions are not subject to initiative and referendum and the Charter Cc~mnission appears to have made appropriate changes in the charter draft to reflect this fact.'
