Mr. Delaney
explained that until Ramsey really becomes established, advertising will
continue to note Anoka as the city to avoid confusion.

Mr. Delaney stated that they do have an opportunity to utilize some of the
General Mills property for a shooting range during the Game Fair, which the
Delaneys would be totally responsible for, but it would require Council's
permission. Mr. Delaney noted that this additional shootinq range is not
a necessity.

Mr. Delaney also requested permission to utilize Federal Cartridge park land
for parking.

Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to
allow use of City park land (Federal Cartridge Land) for parking purposes
during the Game Fair of 1983; further, to allow that a shooting range be
set up on the General Mills property contingent upon approval from the Ramsey
Police Chief.

Motion carried. If the airport is going to exist, it will have to become
municipally owned. The airport really needs a paved runway. Mr. Greenberg
recommended forming an Airport Commission to see if it would be feasible to
become a municipal airport because if the airport closes it is doubtful that
there will ever be an airport in Ramsey again.

C/July 26, 1983
