I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, June 28, <br />1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br /> City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> City Accountant Jeanne Moen <br /> Repo~.'.~..~r Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Mer~bers A~sent:- Councilmem~er ~Sue Van Wagner <br /> <br /> ¥ <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. and led in the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT~APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that there was someone present representing <br />Party House, Inc. that would like to be placed on tonight's agenda. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />approve the agenda with the following addition: <br /> <br /> Old Business, Case #la - Party House, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting.Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec then introduced two new City employees; Mark Boos of the Streets <br />Department and Kathy Johnson of the Accounting Department. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: 1982 Annual Audit Re~ort: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec introduced Mr. John Lilja of Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. <br /> <br />Mr. Lilja stated that their accounting firm received excellent cooperation <br />from City Staff while conducting the audit and stated a clean opinion of <br />Ramsey's financial statements. Mr. Lilja noted that a revenue sharing audit <br />was also performed and that this is required every three years. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City has been very happy to work with Deloitte, <br />Haskins and Sells and especially Mr. Scott Owen. <br /> <br />C/June 28, 1983 <br /> Page 3 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
