I I I I I I I I I I I I I I ,I I PROPOSED ORDINANCE #83- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 170. known as the Planning, Subdivision and Signs of Chapter 170. of the City Code. AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 170.06 to the City Code and repealing Section 170.038F of the City Code. The City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. A Chapter 170.06 is hereby added to the City Code, which Chapter shall be as follows: 170.06 Park and Open Space Dedication Fee 170.061 PURPOSE The purpose of this section is to provide funds which the City shall dedicate and use only for the acquisition of parks, playground,trails, or open space. An additional purpose of this section is to provide a means by which the City may require in conjunction with land subdivision that a reasonable portion of any proposed subdivision be dedi- cated to the public or preserved for public use as ~arks, playgrounds, trails or open Space. ~,'~r 170.062 RESID.ER~TI.AL BUILDING PERMIT PARK FEE U~ / A park fee equivalent to two and one-half/enths of one percent (.0025) of the building permit~shall be col- lected by the City from each applicant for a residential dwelling unit, whether it be single family, multi family or apartment building. 170.063 COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL BUILDING PERMIT PARK FEE A park fee equivalent to~th of one percent ~.0010) of the building permit ~shall be collected by the City from each applicant upon the issuance of a building permit for a new commercial or industrial building. 170.064 ALTERNATE DEDICATION OF PARKS AND OPEN SPACES Notwithstanding Sections 170.062 and 170.063 above, the City Council, in its discretion may elect in all new sub- divisions to require eight percent (8%) of the gross area
