110.02 1:1 -REA~IS <br /> <br />110.021 F]RlJLR~.E USE INSTRUCTION REQUIRED <br /> <br />Minnesota State Statutes known as M.S.A. 97.81, 97.82 and 97.83 which <br />pertain to the safe use of firearms and instructions Sn using are here- <br />by adopted by reference. Every provision contained in said statutes <br />are made a part of this code as ~f fully set forth herein. <br /> <br />110.022 D] SOIARGE PROI{] BITED <br /> <br />Except as hereinafter provided, no person shal] fire or discharge any <br />gun, pistol or firearm of any description within the limits of the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />110.023 POSSESSION PRO}II BITED <br /> <br />Except as hereinafter provided, no person shall have in his possession <br />any gun, pistol or firearm of any description within the limits of the <br />City of Ramsey unless said pistol, gun or firearm is dismounted or <br />broken apart or carried in a case in such a manner that it cannot be <br />discharged, nor shall any person carry or conceal any pistol or firearm <br />upon his person. <br /> <br />110.024 LAI~' ENFORCF3IFA'T OFFICERS <br /> <br />The terms of this chapter shall not prohibit the possession or discharge <br />of firearms by duly authorized peace officers or military authorities. <br /> <br />110. 025 FIRING RANGES <br /> <br />The terms of this chapter shall not prohibit the possession or discharge <br />of firearms upon a firing range, either indoor or outdoor, provided said <br />range is properly equipped and supervised to insure reasonable safety as <br />determined by the certificate of the Chief of Police of the City of <br />Ramsey or pursuant to licensing ordinances hereinafter enacted for such <br />ranges. <br /> <br />110.026 PROTECI'ION OF 1tO5.1I; AND F~IILY <br /> <br />Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to embrace the possession <br />of a firearm within the home or the discharge of the same when done in <br />the lawful defense of person, family or property. <br /> <br />110.027 I)ISOlARGE OF FI -RFAlhxtS <br /> <br />The owner or tenant or persons having written authorization of such <br />owner or tenant may, upon the land of the owner or his tenant, dis- <br />charge firearms in hunting wild game in accordance with the laws of <br />the State of Minnesota, only so as not to be within 1500 feet of any <br />residence or other structure. However, shotguns with no larger than <br />size 4 shot shall be the only type of firearms permitted to be dis- <br />charged in any area of the city. <br /> <br />110.028 LICENSES TO CARRY I~APONS <br /> <br />The chief of police of the city may grant to such persons as he may <br />think proper license to carry concealed weapons and may revoke any <br /> <br /> <br />
