POSITION RESPONSIBILITY WRITE-UP I I I I I I Position Title pepartment Accountable To Research Assistant Community Developme~nt Community Development Director Date July 1983 Primary Objective of Position To design the mechanism for and conduct a survey of local business and industry to assist the Economic Development Commission in establishing goals Major Areas of Accountability Design and conduct a business/industry inventory and survey --- Develop comprehensive list and file of businesses and industries in the City of Anoka --- Gather and develop a file for promotional literature from businesses and industries -~- Conduct a survey of all businesses and industries to gather profile data, e.g. number of employees, etc. --- Produce a written report summarizing the results of the survey to provide a profile of business and industry in the' City of Anoka Design and conduct a labor survey --- Gather survey data to provide a profile of local labor market --- Produce a written report summarizing the results of the survey Design and conduct a survey of land and buildings in Anoka having potential for commercial/industrial development or redevelopment --- Gather and develop a file of available land and buildings --- Produce a written report summarizing the results of the survey Assist in researching and compiling a Community Fact Booklet and Economic Development Plan --- Research community profile data --- Prepare summary reports on research Assist in design and preparation of promotional materials including a video presentation highlighting economic development opportunities in the City of Anoka 1 2 3 4 5
