CouncJlmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 03-12-341 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER INTO BENEFITS CONTRACTS <br />WITH BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD, DELTA DENTAL AND STANDARD <br />INSURANCE FOR 2004 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is committed to attracting and retaining quality <br />employees to serve the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, competitively priced benefits are essential to effectively compete for <br />quality employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Administration has reviewed several proposals for health, dental and life <br />insurance benefits for 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that for 2004 the City offer health, dental and life <br />insurance benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and Standard Life Insurance, <br />respectively. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes staff to enter into a one year <br />contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and Standard Life Insurance for 2004. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and tile following abstained: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br /> <br />
