Councihnember glvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-11-312 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR CHIEF OF POLICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jim Way was promoted to Chief of Police effective November 13, 2002; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Way has successfully completed his one-year probationary period as <br />Chief of Police; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its November 25, 2003 meeting agreed with <br />staff's recommendation to end the probationary period for Jim Way, effective November 13, <br />2003. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendations of the <br />Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Jim Way, effective November <br />13, 2003. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
