Cotmcilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-11-314 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GIVING AUTHORIZATION TO BEGIN RECRUITMENT PROCESSES <br />FOR NEW POSITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, for several months the City Council has been discussing the 2004 budget <br />and plans to hire a Patrol Officer, Building Inspector, Fire Inspector, Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker and Information Technology Manager; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there appears to be a consensus that each of these positions will be <br />approved as part of the 2004 budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to begin the recruitment processes for <br />these positions <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey grants staff the authorization to begin the <br />recruitment processes to hire a Patrol Officer (1-FTE), Building Inspector (.5 FTE), Fire <br />Inspector (.5 FTE), Public Works Maintenance Worker (1-FTE) and Information <br />Technology Manager (1-FTE). <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />NOlle <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
