CC Regular Session 2. 1. <br />Meeting Date: 03/24/2015 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Background Information re the PACT Pantherettes Dance Team and the Anoka Twisters Dance Team <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: To congratulate and give recognition to the PACT Charter School Dance Team and the Anoka High <br />School Twisters Dance Team for their hard work, determination, and placement in the State Tournament. Council <br />will also be asked to adopt Resolutions during the Consent Agenda this evening recognizing the PACT Charter <br />School and Anoka High School Dance Teams. <br />Background: <br />PACT Charter School: <br />The team's Head Coach, Erin Kruesi, has been working with the PACT team for three seasons and coaching Dance <br />Team for a total of 12 seasons. <br />The PACT Charter School Dance Team made it to State again this year in both High Kick & Jazz (top 12 teams go <br />to State Competition). They improved over last year's performance by making it to the State Finals in High Kick <br />(top 6 teams in State go to Finals). They placed overall 6th in High Kick and 8th in Jazz (last year they were 8th & <br />11th respectively). <br />In addition to this outstanding accomplishment, the PACT Dance Team Head Coach, Erin Kruesi, won Coach of <br />the Year honors last year and this year, her Assistant Coach, Kelsey Field, won Assistant Coach of the Year. <br />The Pantherettes would like to thank both their Head Coach and Assistant Coach for all their hard work and <br />dedication to the team and the sport of dance team and look forward to another successful season with them. <br />Mayor Strommen will call the Coach and Team forward and present certificates of achievement to each member. <br />The PACT Pantherettes Dance Team 2014-2015 Roster is as follows: <br />Head Coach Erin Kruesi (Head Coach of the Year 2013-14) <br />Assistant Coach Kelsey Field (Assistant Coach of the Year 2014-15) <br />Captain Gabby Gutzkow (all -state dancer) <br />Captain Emma Novak (all -state dancer) <br />Captain Kasey Schweiger (all -state dancer) <br />Naomi Strobush (all -state dancer) <br />Susannah Workman <br />Athena Aase <br />Theresa Kisrow <br />McKenzie Giddens <br />Caitlyn Fries <br />Holly Radtke <br />Rylie Erickson <br />Victoria Heiberg <br />Jaida Schweiger <br />Mia -Rose Peterson <br />
