Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-03-084 RESOLUTION APPOINTING BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS WHEREAS, there are open seats on the City's boards and commissions as of April 1, 2015; and WHEREAS, the vacancies were advertised in the Ramsey Resident, the Anoka County Union, on the City's website, on the City's community sign, on QCTV, on the City's Facebook, and via the city's email notification system; and WHEREAS, per Minnesota Statue 469.095, pertaining to the Mayor's authority to appointment members to the Economic Develop Authority (EDA), Mayor Strommen indicated that she will select Mr. Phillip Brunt to serve on the EDA; and the City Council indicated approval with the Mayor's selection, as follows: Economic Development Authority Brian Burandt 6 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-21) WHEREAS, the City Council agreed by consensus to the following remaining appointments to the boards and commissions, as follows: Environmental Policy Board Reid Bernard Larry Lewis Jane Covart 4 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-19) 4 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-19) 2 -year partial term (04-01-15 to 03-31-17) Park and Recreation Commission Bridget Barr 4 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-19) Andrew Fyton 4 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-19) Jon Trappen 4 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-19) David Troy 2 -year partial term (04-01-15 to 03-31-17) Planning Commission Ralph Brauer 4 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-19) Andrew Andrusko 4 -year full term (04-01-14 to 03-31-19) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: Motion to adopt resolution #15-03-084 to do the following: That the City of Ramsey's Mayor makes the following appointments, with approval of the City Council: Economic Development Authority Brian Burandt 6 -year full term (04-01-15 to 03-31-21)
