Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-03-074 RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH ANOKA COUNTY FOR U.S. HIGHWAY 10 / CSAH 83 (ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD) INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #14-22 WHEREAS, Anoka County is proposing improvements to the at -grade intersections of U.S. Highway 10 / CSAH 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) and the BNSF railroad crossing / CSAH 83 to improve traffic operations and increase safety; and WHEREAS, CSAH 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) is a County State Aid Highway under the jurisdiction of Anoka County; and WHEREAS, Riverdale Drive and Sunwood Drive are Municipal State Aid Streets under the jurisdiction of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvements require improvements to CSAH 83 (Armstrong Boulevard), Riverdale Drive and Sunwood Drive; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and Anoka County desire to work cooperatively to construct the proposed improvements; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the City of Ramsey agrees to share in the local costs for the proposed improvements up to the estimated amount of $2,807,744. 2) That the City of Ramsey's cost allocations for the proposed improvements will be based on the City and Anoka County sharing equally in all local costs. 3) That the City of Ramsey agrees to all maintenance obligations defined within the Joint Powers Agreement. 4) That the Joint Powers Agreement for construction and maintenance of the proposed improvements is hereby approved with the conditions noted above. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #15-03-074 Page 1 of 2
