Ramsey Fire Department <br />Year End Report for 2014 <br />Departments Mission Statement: <br />The Ramsey Fire Department will train and respond to minimize our citizen's losses. We will treat the injured effectively with kindness and <br />respect. Through education of the public, and ourselves we will strive for a safer community today and tomorrow. <br />Emergency Response <br />2014 ended with activity being slightly above the prior few years at 486 total calls. Structure fires ramped up to 10 <br />total which was up from 3 in 2013 and 9 in 2012. Although not technically structure fires there were an additional <br />8 incidents involving contents within structures. <br />With the total calls numbered 486, this compares to last six years in decending order: 443, 447, 479, 453, 491, and <br />489. Personal Injury incidents were once again the biggest response at 140 or 29% of the total. Alarms were the <br />next largest response at 91, up from 60 in 2013 which represents 19%.
