Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #03-12-336 <br /> <br /> WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO NOT <br />LIABILITY COVERAGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving statutory <br />tort limits for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been past practice for the City of Ramsey to not waive the statutory <br />tort limit limits for liability coverage with LMCIT; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the City Council not waive the statutory tort <br />limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for <br /> LMCIT liability coverage. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councihnember Cook <br /> Councilmember Pearson <br /> Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kurak <br /> <br /> <br />
