second bid was received from Ames Construction Incorporated in the amount of $28,499,206.92. The Engineer's construction estimate was $26,955,452.80, and the project continues to be fully funded from the previously identified sources. The Anoka County Board will consider awarding a contract for this project on April 14th. If a contract is awarded, the anticipated start of construction would occur near the end of April, with the closure of Armstrong Boulevard between Sunwood Drive and Riverdale Drive occurring as soon as May 4th. Work is anticipated to be substantially complete this fall, with final project completion occurring in the spring of 2016.
