Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-02-049 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2004-2008 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />(cie) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Charter states that the City of Ramsey will adopt a <br />Capital Improvelnent Program (CIP) annually; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CIP will consists of at least five years, and will estimate the future <br />needs for the public health, safety and welfare of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CIP shall consists of projects and facilities (capital improvements) <br />proposed to be undertaken during the next five fiscal years, which is 2004-2008, with appropriate <br />supporting information as to the necessity for such improvements, cost estimates, and method of <br />financing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a forecasting tool and not actual, <br />committed projects and expenditures. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Council authorizes the adoption of the 2004-2008 Capital Improvement <br /> Program (CIP). <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Elvig <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
