Councilrnember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #04-02-052 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING $4,000 FROM THE LAWFUL GAMBLING FUND FOR <br />THE ANOKA AQUATIC CENTER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has contributed to the Anoka Aquatic Center for the <br />past six years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the amount to be contributed has been a total of $4,000 annually; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funding for the contribution is to come from the Lawful Gambling Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The City Council authorizes a contribution to the Anoka Aquatic Center in the amount of <br /> $4,000 payable from the Lawful Gambling Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember Strommen <br /> Councihnember Cook <br /> Councilmember Kurak <br /> Councilmember Pearson <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 24h day of February, 2004. <br /> <br />ATTEST:~> <br />.~ty Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
