Special Planning Commission (Immediately following Joint EPB /Planning — LIR) • Review 2015 Amendment to Metropolitan Council Housing Policy Plan Council Update City Improvement Project Updates • Highway 10 & Armstrong Boulevard Interchange • This project involves replacing the existing signalized at -grade intersection at Highway 10 & Armstrong Boulevard with a grade- separated interchange and bridge over the railroad tracks. • Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in late April and to be substantially complete by November 2015. • Armstrong Boulevard between Sunwood Drive and Riverdale Drive is tentatively scheduled to be closed from May 4 th through substantial completion of the project. o More detailed project information will soon be available on -line at www.highwayIOanda,rmstrong.com Riverdale Drive Extension /Reconstruction This project involves reconstructing Riverdale Drive between Armstrong Boulevard and the cul -de -sac east of Alpaca Street, and extending Riverdale Drive to Traprock Street. Construction began in September 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2015. More detailed project information is available on -line at www.cityoframsey.com/Riverdaledrive Center Street Improvements • This project involves constructing a new bituminous street (Center Street) between Sunwood Drive and Ramsey Parkway, across from the Municipal Center plaza. • Construction began in October 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in July 2015. More detailed project information is available on -line at www.cityoframsey.com/CenterStreet EAB Information Meeting. Anoka County residents are invited to attend a public meeting on Thursday, April 30 regarding Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) being discovered in Anoka County. The meeting, which will be hosted by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), will be held at the Anoka County Parks Activities Center, 550 Bunker Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304, beginning at 6:00 pm. The MDA will also be accepting comments regarding a formal quarantine for Anoka County to help limit the spread of EAB between April 15 and May 30, 2015. Anoka County was placed under an emergency quarantine by the MDA when EAB was initially discovered in Ham Lake in March and the MDA proposed to adopt the formal quarantine on June 15, 2015.
