T~: Economic Development Commissionmembers <br /> <br />FROM: City Staff <br /> <br />RE: Commission Business <br /> <br />CASE #1: <br /> <br />CASE #2: <br /> <br />CASE #3: <br /> <br />SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />a) Legislative Subcommittee - The subcommittee dhairman will give a <br />report on this subcommittee's activities. <br /> <br />b) Finance Subcommittee - The subcommittee chairman will give a report <br />on this subcommittee's activities. <br /> <br />c) Economic Subcommittee - The subcommittee chairman will give a report <br />on this subcommittee's activities. <br /> <br />LOCAL DEVELOPMENT COPJ?ORATION SALE OF STOCKS: <br /> <br />.On Tuesday, March 22, 1983 the Ramsey Local Development Corporation was <br />duly formed and the various officers were appointed. Accordingly, the <br />next step in the formulation of the LDC will be to begin the sale of <br />stocks. <br /> <br />It would seem that this would be appropriate at this time as the City <br />has now in place its Utility Assessment Ordinance. <br /> <br />Your action in this matter will be to take the necessary steps %o imple- <br />ment the sale of stocks. <br /> <br />REPORT ON UTILITY ASSESSMENT ORDINANCE: <br /> <br />At this time, the City has adopted their Utility Assessment Ordinance <br />but they did not include your proposal which would allow a developer to <br />use his land as collateral in lieu of a letter of credit. <br /> <br />As a result of this, the developers withdrew their petitions as they <br />said they would be unable to develop under the current ordinance. <br />However, since that meeting, Mr. Norm Holm has submitted a letter tO <br />the City Council asking they reconsider their ordinance. Building <br />Official Berg will be available at this meeting to answer any questions <br />you may have as well as review this matter in more detail. <br /> <br />No action_is necessary unless you would like to reaffirm your position <br />in this matter. <br /> <br /> <br />
