Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-02-034 RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR GARNET STREET AND 168TH AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION, CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #13-10 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 25, 2014, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to Garnet Street from .167th Avenue to the north plat line of Now and Then Estates, and 168th Avenue west of Garnet Street, including the reconstruction of streets and curb and gutter, the construction of sidewalks, storm sewer, and public utilities, and other necessary appurtenant work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 13, 2015, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for February 10, 2015 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility Report accepted by Council on January 13, 2015. 2. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, benefiting properties shall be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, which have an estimated total cost of $1,675,000. 3. The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember LeTourneau
