Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-02-034 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />GARNET STREET AND 168TH AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION, <br />CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #13-10 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 25, 2014, a <br />Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements <br />to Garnet Street from .167th Avenue to the north plat line of Now and Then Estates, and 168th <br />Avenue west of Garnet Street, including the reconstruction of streets and curb and gutter, the <br />construction of sidewalks, storm sewer, and public utilities, and other necessary appurtenant <br />work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 13, 2015, the <br />Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for February 10, <br />2015 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets <br />in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br />Report accepted by Council on January 13, 2015. <br />2. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, benefiting properties shall be assessed for <br />all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, which have an estimated total cost of <br />$1,675,000. <br />3. The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />
