News Articles - <br /> <br /> No report at this time. <br /> <br />Case #2: Discussion Regarding Business Expo/Fair For Ramsey Bus%~ess~s; <br />The Business Expo/Fair Subcommittee has not met. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that the Anoka/Champlin/Ramsey/Dayton Chamber of Commerce <br />is forming a committee which will consist of staff and economic development <br />people from each of the communities. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discussion Regarding Highway 10 Study: <br /> <br />The Company proceeded to review the draft scope for the Highway 10 Study. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner suggested that the study corridor be from the city's eastern <br />boundary and continue to Cty. Rd. #83 rather than just to Cty. Rd. #56. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin requested that Mr. Fults contact Mr. Lyle McLaughlin regarding <br />recommendations for firms to do such a study. <br /> <br />Mr. Fults stated that Mr. McLaughlin has expressed concern regarding Mr. <br />Kummala's proposal not being a true incubator facility. Mr. Fults stated <br />that Mr. McLauglin has spent a lot of money upgrading the old Kovar <br />building for rental purposes and he will not be able to compete with the <br />same type of facility that is being subsidized by the city. <br /> <br />Company members agreed that Mr. McLaughlin's concerns are valid. <br /> <br />Company consensus was that the Highway 10 study corridor should include <br />that area between the City's eastern boundary west to Cty. Rd. #83. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that CDBG funds will be pursued as funding for the Hwy. <br />#i0 study. <br /> <br />Case #4: Discussion Regarding Process For Handling Prospective <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that there is concern that there are too many people <br />going in too many directions following up on prospective incoming <br />businesses. A policy has been drafted for working with prospective <br />businesses.
