Mr. Fults stated that there should also be a <br />booth at the expo that can show what land is available in Ramsey for <br />development and the processes that must be followed. <br /> <br />Consensus was that Mr. Muller and Mr. Wagner would contact the Lions and <br />Jaycees to determine their interest in assisting with Discover Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin volunteered to write an article for the city newsletter <br />requesting volunteers to work on the Discover Ramsey project. Mr. Hardin <br />also volunteered to research appropriate locations for the event and booth <br />rental costs. <br /> <br />Case #3: _Update On Hiqhway 10 Corridor Study: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that she has scheduled a meeting with Barry Warner of <br />Barton-Aschman for 1:00 p.m. on April 6 to negotiate a contract and <br />redefine the scope of the Highway 10 Corridor Study. <br /> <br />Case~4.. _Update On Driver Destination ~iqns: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that City Council adouted a resolution requesting MN/DoT <br />to include Ramsey on driver destination signs. <br /> <br />Case #5: Discussion Regarding Mate Punch and Die: <br /> <br />Mr. Greenberg stated that he, Ms. Norris and Mr. Hartley met with Mr. <br />Sundquist regarding the proposed expansion of Mate Punch and Die. Mr. <br />Greenberg noted that transportation routes and proposed improvements impact <br />the plans of businesses in the industrial area; a committee should meet <br />with Anoka to coordinate transportation improvements between the two city's <br />industrial parks. <br /> <br />The Company proceeded to discuss the proposed alignment in the current <br />proposal for sewer and water improvements to the Industrial Area. Mr. <br />Greenberg stated that he is of the understanding that Mr. Eggam and Mr. <br />Spone would be in favor of the utilities being aligned through their <br />property if the City were to develop an MSA road through their properties. <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio stated that coordinated development of utilities and roads is <br />most important to orderly development and suggested that the proposed sewer <br />and water alignment be reconsidered to coordinate with future roadways in <br />the industrial area. Mr. Raudio confirmed that Mr. Eggam and Mr. Spone are <br />agreeable to the proposed improvements now that they know the increase in <br />property taxes due to the availability of utilities is negligible. <br /> <br />Consensus was that the sewer and water subcomittee should meet with the <br />City Engineer to discuss the possibility of going back to the originally <br />proposed alignment for sewer and water and that a letter be obtained from <br />Mr. Eggam and Mr. Spone stating that they are no longer in opposition to <br />the project and are aware of the potential increase to property taxes. <br /> <br />Economic Development Company/April 2, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
