News Articles - No report at this time. <br /> <br />Case #2: Update on "Discover Ramsey": <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin noted that the brochures and registration forms had been printed <br />and are being distributed to Ramsey businesses. Tentative advertising <br />includes: flyers that will be sent out and newspaper advertising in the <br />Anoka County Union and Elk River Star News. Coca-Cola has agreed to <br />sponsor a portion of the total advertising costs. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner noted that the committee had thought about requesting the <br />Lions and Jaycees' assistance in registering businesses; however, due to <br />the limited number of booths available, the Company members should be able <br />to handle registration. Each Company Board member has been assigned <br />certain businesses in Ramsey to contact regarding a booth at "Discover <br />Ramsey". <br /> <br />The Board discussed whether registration should be targeted to only <br />businesses in Ramsey and determined to try first for those businesses <br />located in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin noted that he is working with Greg Bergeron on an advertising <br />insert to go in the Anoka Shopper. <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio arrived at 5:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #5: Update on Highway 10 Corridor Study; <br /> <br />The Board discussed issues from the last meeting of the Highway 10 Corridor <br />Study Committee - variations for frontage roads along Highway 10 and <br />monuments/identifiers for Ramsey in the Highway 10 corridor. Mr. Kurak <br />suggested that a Ramsey ad/billboard be painted on the side of Mr. Shenk's <br />barn on Highway 10. Mr. DeLuca noted that the Lions' Ramsey signs need to <br />be landscaped and maintained. Mr. Hardin suggested that the median of <br />Highway 10 between Anoka and Elk River be landscaped and signed in Ramsey. <br />Mr. DeLuca suggested that all entrances to Ramsey should be treated <br />similarly. <br /> <br />Mr. Kurak asked whether the Board wanted to respond to MnDOT's denial of <br />Ramsey's request to be included on driver destination signs.
