Motion by Ms. Sentyrz and seconded by Mr. DeLuca to nominate Ms. Smothers <br />to the office of Treasurer. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Mr. Greenberg moved and Ms. Sentyrz seconded to close <br />the nominations for the office of Treasurer. Motion carried unanimously~ <br /> <br />Motion electing Ms. Smothers to the office of Treasurer carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. DeLuca and seconded by Mr. Greenberg to adopt a resolution <br />authorizing the four new officers of the Board to conduct business on <br />behalf of the Company. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case ~2: Discuss Filling Vacancies on the Board. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. DeLuca and seconded by Mr. Greenberg to send letters out to <br />the five other nominees to the Board to determine who might be interested <br />in filling the vacancies on the Board. Those nominees who are interested <br />in serving on the Board are to be at the next Board meeting or notify Anne <br />Norris of their interest. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: The Board set the next meeting date for 7:00 p.m., <br />Wednesday, July 20, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Case #4: Discuss Upcoming Events. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel noted that the Company is again participating in the Game Fair; <br />people are needed to attend the Company's booth. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel also noted that the Company is again planning a Discover Ramsey <br />Business Expo for Sunday, October 9, 1988 at the Ramsey Elementary School; <br />volunteers are needed to work on organizing this event. The Board agreed <br />that this item should be discussed in detail at the next Board meeting. <br /> <br />Case #3: Review Company Goals and Objectives. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel reviewed the goals of the Company as established by the Board on <br />February 17, 1988. <br /> <br />The Board suggested that this discussion should occur when there is a full <br />Board. Mr. Greenberg commented that he felt the Company should get more <br />involved in the proposed alignment for a future Mississippi River crossing; <br />the crossing could serve as the future "center" of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Case #6: Other Business. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca noted that the Company needs to get more shareholders involved <br />in its activities. Mr. Ippel suggested that shareholders be requested to <br />participate in Company committee activities.
