e) Designation of Official Newspaper for the City 9.f Ra~sey: <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann <br />to designate the Anoka County Union as the City of Ramsey's official <br />newspaper for the year 1983. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />f) Reappoint/Appoint City Engineer: <br /> <br />Mr. Darrell Schneider of CED was present at the meeting, along with Mr. Robert <br />Isakson who is currently employed at CED and serves on the Ramsey Planning <br />and Zoning Commission. Mr. Schneider stated that CED has served the City of <br />Ramsey in the past and would like to be considered in that capacity again. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked Mr. Schneider for taking the time to attend the meeting. <br />He further commented that it was an unfortunate situation when Mr. Raatikka <br />terminated with CED and the City has built a confidence in the man rather <br />than the company. Mayor Gamec thanked Mr. Schneider for the services of <br />CED in the past and stated that the City will continue to consider CED in <br />the future. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />reappoint Mr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates to serve as the <br />consultant engineer for the City of Ramsey for the calendar year 1983. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />g) Appoint/Reappoint City Attorney.: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />reappoint Mr. William Goodrich of the Randall, Dehn and Goodrich Law Firm as <br />the City Attorney for the City of Ramsey for the calendar year 1983. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Schlueter, Reimann, <br />Sorteberg and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />h) Designation of Official Depositories for City Funds for the City of <br /> Ramses: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution #83-1 designating the following institutions as the City's <br />official depositories of City funds:(Please refer to resolution file for #83-1). <br /> <br />'1) Northern Bank of Anoka (formerly State Bank of Anoka) 2) First National Bank of Anoka <br /> 3) First National Bank of Minneapolis <br /> 4) Northwestern Bank of Minneapolis <br /> 5) Twin City Federal Savings and Loan <br /> 6) Minnesota Federal Savings and Loan <br /> 7) Dain Bosworth, Inc. <br /> <br />*Note: The Northern Bank of Anoka (State Bank of Anoka) has the City of <br /> Ramsey's checking account and savings account.
