Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Acceptance Of Park Land From Federal Cartridge: <br /> <br />City Attorney stated that he has been contact by attorney representing Federal <br />Cartridge and that they are requesting a resolution from the City of Ramsey <br />stating acceptance of land offer. <br /> <br />Motionl.by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution #83-49 stating Ramsey's acceptance of park land donated by <br />Federal Cartridge. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #83-49). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Van Wagner and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that the ceremony accepting the deed is set for Saturday, <br />April 9, 1983 at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Flag Day Presentations: <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann suggested County Commissioner Haas be requested to <br />present Columbia Ice Arena with the Ramsey City Flag. He further stated <br />that the Flag could be presented to Commissioner Haas at the May Council <br />meeting and that would also be a good time to present a City Flag to Ramsey <br />Elementary School. <br /> <br />Landfill Lawsuit: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated there would be an executive session in regards to landfill <br />lawsuit on April 25, 1983 at 3:30 p.m. Mayor also suggested that Council- <br />member Schlueter review the case with the City Attorney prior to that time. <br /> <br />Anoka/Ramsey City Council: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that a tentative meeting has been scheduled for April 21, <br />1983 between Ramsey City Council and Anoka City Council <br /> <br />Council consensus is to send a letter to the City of Anoka in appreciation <br />of Mayor's past cooperation and congratulating the new Mayor. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnold Cox suggested that Ramsey City Council discuss Rum River Bridge <br />Crossing with Anoka City Council and also requested an update on status of <br />present site of landfill. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there is no chance of including present landfill site <br />into the proposed site. There is new legislation to change dating and siting <br />from June of 1983 to January of 1984. It has been agreed that no decisions <br />will be made until Ramsey City Council adopts and reviews plans for the <br />new site. The Metro Council will not agree to eliminating the site completely <br />unless Ramsey proposes another site. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that at a Physical Development Commission meeting, Ramsey <br />was told that no action would be taken until completion of our impact report, <br />they assured us that changes could be made and that all Ramsey had to do was <br />get the County's support. <br /> <br />Sp C/April 7, 1983 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
