Mayor Gamec stated that this ordinance was forced on Ramsey by the Metro Council~ <br />that the Comprehensive Plan would not have been approved if this ordinance was <br />not adopted and Ramsey informed Metro Council that the City cannot afford regular <br />inspections of on-site systems at this time. <br /> <br />Curt Titterud - 6921 167th Lane - Mr. Titterud noted that septic problems could <br />be half what they are if septic tanks were insulated. For every 10 degrees <br />the temperature inside a tank is raised, the action in the tank doubles. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />forward this matter to the Personnel Committee for discussion and report back <br />to Council with recommendations. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Schlueter stated that she would like to be <br />included in the Personnel Meeting that will address this issue. Mr. Schnelle <br />stated that there should not be three Councilpersons actively involved in a <br />Personnel Meeting, that it would be majority of the Council. Mr. Schnelle also <br />stated that Councilmember Schlueter could attend the Personnel Meeting but that <br />she should not be actively involved in any discussions and that any written input <br />she might wish to submit should be submitted at the Council level. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter <br />and Reimann. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />b. Admpting Work Session Meeting Between Council And All Commissions: <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that sometimes individuals tend to forget that <br />we are an integral working part of a well run City. No matter how we acquire <br />our position we must continually be accountable. Councilmember Schlueter <br />stated that she needs input from Staff and Commissions. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle noted that not one person from Council or various Commissions <br />has approached him regarding what can be done for the City during legislation <br />now going on at the State level. <br /> <br />Council consensus is to schedule a joint meeting between Council, Planning <br />and Zoning, Park and Recreation, Ad Hoc for Public Utilities and Economic <br />Development Commission for June 6, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #1.c: Landfill: <br /> <br />a. Inspection Report On RamseS Landfill For March 1983: <br /> <br />Council notes receiving and reviewing. <br /> <br />b. Letter From Mr. Carl Michaud Of The Metropolitan Council: <br /> <br />Council noted reviewing letter from Mr. Carl Michaud dated March 24, 1983. <br /> <br />c. Appointing Of A Person To Serve On The Expanded Waste Management Advisory <br /> Commission: <br /> <br />Mr. Cox stated that there is a public hearing scheduled for the end of May and <br />Ramsey should be represented.
