Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to adopt Resoluti~on #83-110b Granting a Variance to Mr. Kenneth Peterson <br />of 15407 Hematite Street N.W. to combine two parcels by metes and bounds <br />(Plat #89222 Parcels 4425 and 4430). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Schlueter, <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: Councilmember Reimanno <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that in the future, Mr. Kenneth Peterson might <br />regret having taken this action. <br /> <br />Case #15: Adoption of Resolution Orde~n~ Street Improvement Project #83-16 <br /> And Preparation Of Plans And Specifications: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and s~conded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution #83-111 Deleting Street Improvement Project #83-16 (157th <br />Avenue N.W.) (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #83-111). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: It was noted that this motion means that Mr. Allan <br />Sorteberg will not be required to blacktop his development. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Schlueter, Reimann, <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Sorteberg. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner presented a map showing areas that Cable T.V. will <br />be available to by September 13, 1983 and stated that Group W will be fined <br />retroactive to June 11, 1983, if not 95% complete by September 13, 1983. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated, regarding Jack Engel's complaint during public hearings, <br />that 168th Lane N.W. is a street which gives access to the property to the <br />north, that no cul-de-sac was proposed according to City map and a building <br />permit can be issued because the property does have access to the street, <br />there is no park land crossed. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the building permit was applied for and granted in <br />1977. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that this information should be forwarded to <br />Mr. Jack Engel in letter form. Councilmember Reimann stated that Mr. Engel <br />should also be informed that he is only taxed for the Elk River School <br />District. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated, regarding Sealcoating Improvement Project #83-3, <br />Council Business Case #2, should probably also be deleted because the <br />streets are less than five (5) years old. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner <br />to adopt Resolution #83-111a Rescinding Resolution #83-98 Ordering Improve- <br />ment, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing the Advertisement <br />For Bids for Sealcoating Project #83-3. <br /> <br />Sp C/June 14, 1983 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
