Case #11: Legal (A. State Aid Lawsuit; B. Landfill Case; C. City of <br /> <br />Ramsey Vs. Mrs. Marilyn Galla~he~): <br /> <br />a) State Aid Lawsuit - <br /> <br />Council authorized City Attorney Goodrich to arrange an executive session <br />meeting regarding State Aid Lawsuit. <br /> <br />b) Landfill - <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City of Anoka has done some <br />discovery work and there is talk of a possible settlement and this <br />subject should also be discussed during the executive session he has <br />just been authorized to arrange. <br /> <br />c) Cit~ Of Ramsey Vs. Mrs. Marilyn Gallagh~r - <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the insurance company is imposing an <br />answer on behalf of all defendants and there may be some question <br />regarding coverage for punitive damages which is not a serious problem. <br />Mr. Goodrich noted that at this point in time there is no Council <br />action required. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous Legal Item: <br /> <br />Bond Sale For Improvement Pro~ects - <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter <br />to adopt Resolution #83-119 providing for issuance and sale of $565,000 <br />General Obligation Improvement Bonds of 1983. (Please refer to resolution <br />file for Resolution #83-119). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: ~orar~ Beer A~.d B~n$o License, Request For; Case Of Anoka Fire <br /> Department: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve of granting the following temporary licenses: <br /> <br />a) Beer license from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., September 11, 1983 <br /> at the St. Anthony Gun Club, City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />b) Bingo license from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., September 11, 1983 <br /> at the St. Anthony Gun Club, City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The above licenses are to be issued to the Anoka Fire Department, Inc., <br />Anoka, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None.
