Mayor Gamec inquired if Mr. LilJa had any indication of what the bonding <br />market would be like within the next 6 months. <br /> <br />Mr. Lilja replied that his accounting firm does not have expertise in the <br />field of bond markets. <br /> <br />The regular Council meeting adjourned at 7:41 in order to conduct the <br />following Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />1. Mr. Bob Muller's request for a variance. <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment adjourned at 7:50 p.m. and regular meeting was called <br />back to order. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that Mayor Gamec's suggestion regarding <br />grading down the corner of 160th and Cty Rd. #47 is a good idea, that the <br />view of traffic on Cty. Rd. #47 is even obstructed by the growth of tall <br />grass. <br /> <br />Street Superintendent Merle Mevissen stated that there is a utility pole <br />in that area and that he would check with the electric company to see how <br />much dirt can be removed from around that pole. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />authorizing the City Street Superintendent to survey the traffic situation <br />at the intersection of 160th and Cty. Rd. #47 and report back to Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann and SchlUeter. <br />Voting No: None. Abstain: Mayor Gamec. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />The regular meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m. in order to conduct the following <br />public hearing: <br /> <br />1. Street Improvement Project #83-2 regarding 167th Avenue NW to Jaspar <br /> Street NW. <br /> <br />The regular Council meeting was called back to order at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #3: Adoption Of Resolution Calling For Assessment Of Improvement Project <br /> #83-2 (167th Avenue NW and Jaspar Street NW): <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that Council is at the assessment portion of <br />the procedure, that Council is not discussing whether or not to order the <br />project in. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that Council has 3 options regarding the Hunt property: <br /> <br />1. Place the property on the assessment rolls. <br />2. Do no place the property on the assessment rolls. <br />3. Defer assessment until a designated future year, or upon platting <br /> of property or upon construction of improvements on property. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich noted that if assessment is deferred, interest could begin at <br />this time or with platting of property or with construction of improvements <br />on property. <br /> <br />C/June 28, 1983 <br /> Page 4 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
