could not join in with the Distric's staff. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley and Mr. Finch agreed that there is a need to educate the <br />general public regarding how local government and school boards funtion. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the School District and the City participate with <br />one another for fiscal disparity and property value equalization. Mr. <br />Hartley noted that Ramsey is supporting the efforts of the Northern Mayors <br />Association for transportation improvements in the nothern area and <br />suggested that the District 11 School Board discuss offering their support <br />to that organization also. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that the City of Ramsey will be making an offer of a loan <br />to Anoka County to be used to accelerate the schedule for constructing the <br />Rum River Bridge crossing which will improve transportation corridors to <br />Anoka High School. <br /> <br />Mr. Finch stated that the School District will provide the County with <br />written support of Ramsey's offer, encouraging the County to accept. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adjourn the special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None.
